CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson men’s basketball starts the games that count on Monday, Nov. 2, when Stetson visits Littlejohn Coliseum for a 7 p.m. tip.

Brad Brownell’s Tigers head into the opener unbeaten in the preseason. They edged Georgia 82-80 on Oct. 23 and then handled Presbyterian 84-70 at home on Oct. 28, jumping to an early double-digit lead and taking a 44-30 cushion into halftime.

Dylan Faulkner, a senior who transferred in from Samford, has been the steadiest piece inside. He scored the deciding basket against Georgia and posted 20 points, eight rebounds and five blocks against the Blue Hose. Ace Buckner, who is expected to run the point, topped the scoring chart in the exhibition finale, finishing with 21 points to go with five assists, and David Fuchs added 12 points and nine boards.

There are still holes to fill. Forward Carter Welling is out until at least league play as he works back from a torn ACL suffered in March, Zac Foster is hurt and Dillon Hunter has not yet been cleared to play. Brownell liked how his team opened both exhibitions but called the second halves only average, and Clemson made just 30 percent of its 3-point tries against Presbyterian.

Monday’s game will stream on ACCNX.
